Memory Loss
Okay, last post on the “humiliating typo,” but this one’s for the record or perhaps the record books.
On August 10, 2007, Douglas Wilson affirmed, “I am astonished that (to my knowledge) this is the first time that passage from RINE has come up in this debate.” But a quick Google search shows that just five days earlier on Green Baggins, Sean Gerety shared that exact quote with Wilson. Mr. Gerety also cited it on the Puritan Board last year.
Now, I know that for some the judgment of charity would say that Mr. Wilson was “too humiliated” to admit his “typo” on these other occasions. However, I look at it another way. These facts lead me to suggest that Mr. Wilson’s short-term memory loss is due primarily to chronic brain damage caused by habitual lying.
Thank you.
